The 1925 Segrave fire engine. It was delivered to the Santa Cruz City Fire Department on March 12, 1925 at a cost of $13,500. It was in use until the late 1950's.

Boys pulling a hose cart (emulating the volunteer fire companies?). Early fire companies used teams of men to pull the hose cart to the site of the fire. They participated in competitions to prove which company had the fastest team.

The Church Street Fire Station was shared with the Santa City Police Department. The Police Court was upstairs. In front of the station are two fire engines and one police car. They are decorated for the 1929 Fourth of July parade.
