Boulder Creek volunteer fire department

The Boulder Creek volunteer fire department posing in front of the fire station. Note the fire bell on the top. (Taken before participating in a Fourth of July parade?) The hose cart was donated by the Santa Cruz Fire Department to help Boulder Creek establish its fire department. The man next the flag bearer is holding a speaking trumpet, used for calling orders to the men during an actual fire.
