Sources Used to Identify the Photographs

Various sources were used to identify persons, events, and places. Sources include individuals, notes written on the photograph, newspaper articles, articles on this website, and books. The record for each photo cites the sources consulted.  Citations to print sources were abbreviated to save space.

Below is a list of the abbreviations used followed by the full citation. Unless otherwise indicated, all sources are available in the Santa Cruz Public Libraries.
