First Santa Cruz High School

The first Santa Cruz High School, located at Walnut Avenue and California Street. It was dedicated on July 19, 1895 and opened with more than 200 students. It burned to the ground on October 1, 1913. In the background, to the left, is the home of William H. Weeks.
