Several recommendations were made by the Local Agency Formation Commission to add Olympia to the “sphere of influence for San Lorenzo Valley Water District. Other changes proposed would have been to move 400 homes in the Pasatiempo Area under Scotts Valley Water District however both parties did not agree to the proposal. The state of California requires the boundaries to be specified in a sphere of influence for the purposes of providing water services. No immediate change would occur to any of the relocated homes and the earliest would be two years from now.
