Oldest Hokan artifacts are destroyed

Archeological site has been destroyed where in the previous year a 10,000 year old spear point was discovered making this the oldest site of the Hokam culture north of San Luis Obispo. The Hokam culture is little known and precedes the Ohlone culture. The city was supposed to notify the archeology team before proceeding but states it “forgot”. The new Scotts Valley city hall is on a very tight budget and dependent on volunteer help however the agreement was that notification of Robert Cartier who did the environmental study was to happen first.
