A house turns 100

Known by some as Camp Capitola due to its vacation appeal in the late 1800s, what were originally tents on the beach became summer homes and then year round homes. The Victorian on Cherry Street was the first year round home built in Capitola and it is 00 years old this year. Ove the years the house has been an apartment building and has been remodeled several times. Owned by Dan and Norma Kriege, they have been focusing on renovating the exterior and interior and currently live on the second and third floor. The home is frequently featured in magazines and included in historic home tours.
