The Life of Joaquin Murieta
Description of a book that contains tales of the legend of Joaquin Murrietta. The source of material was the California Police Gazette that published a serial on the topic in 1859 by an unknown author. It was translated into Spanish and English in four different countries. It was republished in 1932 by a publisher in San Francisco and recently republished again by Valley Publishers of Fresno where Murrietta apparently had connections. The picture is from a famous artist named Nahl where Murrietta is daring men to shoot him.
