Harry Hammond Interview
Recorded a story of what older boys did on Halloween night where they would put a wagon on top of the school building. Harry’s Dad would keep him home but he got in trouble anyway because the boys were shouting “Come on, Harry”. Also told stories of his father’s blacksmith shop and tasks he was assigned to do. He saw his father get kicked across the store by a horse once so after that he always tied up one back leg to prevent that from happening. His father had a ranch off the road near Zayante that bordered on a Girl Scout camp. It had to be sold to cover medical bills of one of the sons later.
