Phone Call with Margie Hawett
Her grandfather Joseph got a US Land Grant and felt living on a hillside would be fine land so he rode his horse up and picked out a spot. He also worked for lumber camps at Boulder Creek and at Camp thunder with his horse team. Her father , Charles Houch was born in Felton up ice cream grade in a salt box house. they moved to Santa Cruz when he was 1 in the 1870s, he was a justice of the peace and an attorney.
