Costanoans
Notes taken from book about the Zayante tribe of Awaswas Indians who lived in the area between Davenport to Aptos. These tribes usually had one or more semi-permanent camps but would also have seasonal camps for hunting and fishing. Once thought to be 10,000 in number in 1770 they were down to 200 in 1973.
