Brown Gables of Ben Lomond
The summary notes detail the history of the house. Property owned by Benjamin Lloyd who was a railroad agent from 1889 to 1894. He called it Glyndwind. Mrs Lloyd sold the property to the Browns from Oakland who built a house there in 1910. The property was behind the Park House on the river at the end of Marshall Creek Road. It had tennis courts and riding stables at one time. The Browns sold the house to C. Broadwater who sold it to Mr. Hertz. While he was renovating the home it caught fire and burned to the ground. Subsequent owners of the property are also listed which used the property as a resort with cabins.
