Historic home owners get 4% tax break
The County Board of Supervisors passed a change in the law regarding homes in the San Lorenzo Valley that are listed on the National Historic Register and how much access they must give the public to the external and internal areas. The new regulations states that if property owners of historic homes would like to qualify for a 4% reduction in property tax they must allow the public access to the external areas of the property and “limited access” to the inside. There is no longer a time requirement for how many hours per month.
