Born in Georgia in 1920, McDougald (Mac) J. Nisbet served in the United States Army Air Corps from 1941 to 1945, as part of the Air Transport Command in the European Theater, the Near East, and the China-Burma-India Theater. Mac was decorated with many medals of America, such as American Campaign Medal, American Defense Service Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and World War II Victory Medal. He reached the rank of Technical Sergeant.
