Movie Work Delayed; Injured Man Improving
Unfavorable weather conditions have somewhat hindered work on "Salomy Jane," the big movie now under production in the Ben Lomond country and Boulder Creek, under the direction of George Melford for Lasky-Paramount. All possible preliminary arrangements are being pushed forward in preparation for actual photographing of the action--covering early California activities of Bret Harte's time.
Carl Hernandez, an electrician with the company, who was severely burned about the face and hands Sunday evening during the making of night scenes, is reported as rapidly improving at the Hanly Hospital. His injuries resulted from the flareback of a large torch, that was being employed for special night lighting effects. This work was being done in the vicinity of Glen Arbor."
