Aqua Puerca School

The Aqua Puerca School. The school stood at Scott's Creek until one night in 1908. Children from Scotts Creek and Davenport Landing both attended the school, though more from Davenport Landing. Apparently, bad feeling developed over this fact. In the middle of the night, a group of men jacked up the schoolhouse and moved it to Davenport Landing, much to the surprise of the teacher and her students the next morning.
