Employees of the San Lorenzo Tannery

Employees of the San Lorenzo Tannery hold a hide embossed with "San Lorenzo Tannery, Santa Cruz California." Neither the names of the workers nor the photographer are known. San Lorenzo Tannery had become the premier leather producing company in the County by 1896. Owner Anna Kron and her son Henry, who was the site manager, lived on the grounds. On-site cottages were provided for married employees and a boarding house was provided for the unmarried men.
