Santa Cruz Surfing Club board house

In 1938, the Santa Cruz Jaycees and the Santa Cruz Surfing Club built a board house on Cowell's Beach. Both members and non-members stored their surf boards there. Rent was $1.00 per month. The board house was taken down and the club disbanded in 1952.
