Union Traction streetcar No. 18, overturned at Soquel and Pacific

A crowd gathered around Union Traction streetcar # 18, overturned at Soquel and Pacific. The car was en route to Capitola when it collided with an automobile at the Soquel Avenue trestle. The conductor and all passengers except Mrs. Hildreth Foster and her young son got off after the accident. The unattended car then began rolling back down Soquel towards Pacific. It jumped the track and overturned at the turn onto Pacific, hitting a parked automobile. Mrs. Foster and her son were thrown from the car. Mrs. Foster received a skull fracture, from which she recovered. Her son was not seriously hurt.
