Bailey, Miss Cornelia Kirby, Mr. R. C. Kirby. McKenney's District Directory for 1879, lists Frank W. Bliss as a dentist with his office on Pacific Avenue. R.C. Kirby is listed as the proprietor of a tannery. S.H. Bailey had a store on Pacific Avenue, selling watches and jewelry. In the Santa Cruz City Directory for 1902, Bliss is still listed as a dentist. Also listed is another dentist, Dr. C.L. Bliss. Kirby is also listed in the 1902 Directory--retired and living at "Pope House Cottage." Bailey is still a jeweler on Pacific Avenue.
