Branciforte Creek in Blackburn Gulch
A woman and a young man boating, and a man fishing from the bank of Branciforte Creek in Blackburn Gulch. The gulch was named for William F. Blackburn (1814-1867) who served as alcalde, County Judge and State assemblyman.

Photograph is signed "Ravnos" in the lower right corner. Norwegian photographer Ole Ravnos owned a photo studio in Capitola from 1907-1915, and through his work played a prominent role in vividly reflecting the life and times of the area during the beginning of the 20th century.
