The Pope House, located on Mission Hill
The Pope House, located on Mission Hill, was a stopping place for the wealthy and social elite of San Francisco. The 1896 book, titled Santa Cruz County, remarked, "The Pope House grounds are exceedingly pleasant, with close-clipped lawns, a wealth of flowers, and the finest elm trees in Santa Cruz."
