Pioneer Found Their Living Growing All Around The Valley
The author lists the early pioneers with their small plots of land in order of settlement up each of the major creeks. He portrays their life as roughing in out to make a living. The second wave of settlers were the investors who bought timber land and built their homes who helped create a town of Boulder Creek centered around the lumber business and the new flume that had been put in.
