Doris reflects on how students of today are different with more problems and there are often more problem children in the classrooms. She tells stories of children with little parental oversight or who are on drugs. The worst cases involved suicide and prison. She prefers women principles because they are better disciplinarians. Doris has taught all over Northern California then several schools in Santa Cruz County such as Branciforte and Westlake.
