Silent sawmill on Bear Creek

The Snead brothers ran a productive mill high in the mountains and dragged their trees down with animals or skidded them down the hill. They replaced the first mill with a newer generation by hauling all the equipment down the mountain and installing the new mill. This second mill didn’t work for long but evidence is still there of its past use.
