Last member of pioneer BC family
Jessie and Mignon Hartman remained close friends their entire life after growing up on the family’s Hartman Ranch in Boulder Creek. The ranch was originally a mill that burned down and the sisters sold the land for a small amount to the Easter Seals organization for a camp . The two sisters remained life long supporters of the camp. They were familiar faces around town and used to go driving in their custom 1930 Packard together. Upon her death Mignon cancelled the debt on the existing camp property and donated an additional 59 acres to the camp from her family’s holdings.
