$300,000 Bonny Doon winery fire

The fire started in one of the storage sheds and destroyed about a third of the building. Most of the damage was to the contents in side altho $250,000 of wine stored inside was saved. Randal Graham, the owner, said he called the fire in right away and fought the blaze until firefighters arrived. It is assumed that the fire may have been shouldering for forty minutes before smoke was observed at the building at the corner of Pine Flat and Empire Grade.
