Big Basin Redwoods Were Saved
Andrew P. Hill was the first to begin the push for protection of the trees and Josephine McCracken had the access to media to get wide spread awareness and support. There efforts and many others culminated in the establishment of Big Basin State Park and the Sempervirens group to focus on ongoing conservation efforts through the state.
