Second Saturday Net June 2000

The stated goal of this zine is for African American families who want to get to know one another and learn something in the process. It is an information and resource guide that originated from an idea of the members of the Second Saturday School. Second Saturday is an initiative of the African American Council of Santa Cruz and the Second Saturday Network and was designed to promote identity development and achievement in African American youth. Topics in this edition include Letters from Zimbabwe, an article on Memories of Avondale and an exchange of letters between Nubra Floyd and a student from Zimbabwe.
