Echos of the Past

Discusses the use of trees in the San Lorenzo Valley for fire the lime kilns in the Fall Creek area and the tan oak out of big Basin that was used for tanning leather. Over 700 cords of tan bark were taken out of the Big Basin area over “Trail Beautiful”.
