Pre-historic artifacts found at Scotts Valley City Hall
Over the Memorial Day week-end a team of volunteers excavated the site near the City Hall and found several tools that indicate the site may have been occupied fron 10,000 years ago to 4,000 years ago. The theory is that Scotts Valley may have been a lake after the ice age and a suitable spot for settlement by early peoples. The team included scientists who were excavating the site in 1981 before construction on a parking lot ruined the work.
