The Del Mar celebrates its 50th anniversary. The article notes the beginnings of the movie theater and its wonderful acoustics and decor. Several of the big movies were mentioned, with ‘China Clipper” with Humphrey Bogart being the premier movie. The theater has been through many changes over the years being subdivided into four theaters by the parent company since big movie theaters were in the decline.
