As the foreword puts it, "It has not been the aim nor the purpose of the committee to write a masterpiece of literature, but a condensed history of SANTA CRUZ LODGE NO. 38, F. & A. M. as it is related in the minutes of the Lodge." The booklet regales with stories of the lodge, while including photographs of past masters, and a directory of current members near the end.
