The First Philatelist?

This booklet begins with a short history on stamps, then on philatelism, the study and appreciation of stamps. This introduces the book on Samuel Lord, the world's likely first stamp collector. Alongside pictures of Lord's notes and letters, the booklet tells of his life and interests, also including signatures.

After the booklet is an included note to the Santa Cruz Sentinel from the author, noting how Lord spent the last seven years of his life in Santa Cruz and was buried there, and asking for help in further research of Lord's time in California.
