The Widow Patterson of 1845
Elizabeth Patterson and her four children arrive in Santa Cruz in 1845. She settled in a house near the Mission and soon remarried. In 1876 there were only 20 women in Santa Cruz so Mrs. Patterson was a unique individual. It is unknown when she died.
