Sixty thousand miles of film is being manufactured in the United States a year, United States a year, and the total gross outlay is estimated $50,000,000. The gross revenue to American film producers is computed to be over $75,000,000 per year, which means a profit of perhaps $23.000.000. There is said to be nearly 18,000 shows exploiting moving pictures in the country; and the number is increasing."
