Communication between Faye Ellis and the US Army Archivists about Harry Love's time in the military and his expeditions exploration of the Rio Grande.
Item contains a commission for harry Love in the Army and his acceptance letter. Another attachment is the letter he sends saying he has many problems with family health and would not be able to leave California, therefore asking for a discharge. The records are inconsistent on his involvement in expeditions on the Rio Grande also one source does note that one expedition's findings directly contraindicated Harry Love's findings which would indicate that he did participate in the expedition.
