Word Pictures Thru Golden Gate

The book possesses seventeen poems of varying length, all pertaining to California.
Included is a personal note from the author, to Bert B Snyder, with a reminiscence of "early school days".
At the end of the book is glued two newspaper excerpts: one of Deaton's poem "The House of the Sun", about Haleakala; the other, her poem "The Grapes of Wrath to John Steinbeck", a poetic review of his book.

The editor's note (from "J J G") mentions Deaton is the third granddaughter of Senator Elisha Thomas Peck.
Author also goes by Tony Deaton and Antoinette Deaton.
