Growing Up in Santa Cruz

This is an autobiographical telling of Mr. Foster's experiences of Santa Cruz in the 1930s as a boy. It is split into: general experience/introduction, footbridges & parades, the movies, the news media, the San Lorenzo River, fireworks & Chinatown, schools & fights, athletics, beachcombing, Miss Costello the counselor, "Blackie" the casino owner, the pie shop, the "Mighty Bosco", the big bands, tourists, the Giant Dipper ride, groceries & whore houses, the night scene, the apple box & the church, and the "happy day's end".
