Santa Cruz Yesterdays
Article details life of Harry Love from his birth in Vermont to his time in the Santa Cruz Mountains at his sawmill. The sawmill eventually was lost in a flood so in his later years he had a farm in Santa Clara. He eat his death by gunshot while he lived there. This article does spend some time discussing one of the famous pictures of Harry Love taken by E. P. butler in the 1860s. The reader can then decide whether Harry Love was a dashing “cavalier” or a “gorilla”.
