Jackie Conelly Interview
Carl and Jackie Connelly have lived at their current house for 38 years. they believe it was built by one of the Kenville family. They had a boat landing on the river that was swept away in the floods of 1955. Jackie remembers helping lacquer the Japanese lanterns used at the Rowardennen in the summer with electric lights inside. They live across from the hotel and it was always beautiful at night. She also tells about deer season when the town was empty and everyone was hunting and then they would come back and have a feast. One of the town’s citizens Arthur Hill was the cook
