Desk top publishing
Article discusses the rapidly expanding use of desk top publishing to add amateur authors and graphic artists create their own work rather than use type setting and a publisher. The article cites the rational for use being more control and less cost for the writer and expanding the ability for more focused writing to reach a narrow audience. Many of the people interviewed stated that there is still a place for the use of a publisher but expect technology to continue to improve.
