Flume Brought Lumber Down San Lorenzo River

Describes how the flume operated included communication about what type of wood was coming today stuck on a twig. Also how the men in the flume boats navigated the bridges by jumping out of their boats and running down the bridge to numb in at the other side. Also salmon use to jump in the flume and they would be caught at the end for a delicious meal. When the flume was discontinued because the logs could come by railroad to Felton it was a big loss of jobs for Felton.
