Mentions that Ellen was a school teacher for the Santa Cruz School System. Moved to Modesto in 1920 and worked in the schools there. Spent the summer before moving working at the Dickinson Hotel. Notes that Ms Ellis’ home used to be a cabin that Ms Magnuson attended where she and her sister danced on the front porch.
