The final students , all children of Mrs Gladys Peterson, will be moving to Santa Maria and the school will be closing. The original founders of the school were Leopold and Rudolph Guichard, original pioneers in the area. For many years their family continued to supply not only pupils but teachers as well. The last students were very talented and won county wide art and handicraft exhibits.
