Alba's Jubilee a visit to the past
Alba School opened in 1895 due to the commitment of local residents to have a place in their area for children to attend school. The pioneer family the Guitchard’s were instrumental in getting the school established. It was opened from 1895 to 1940 and is now a museum. The celebration was attended by 150 people including alumni from the school’s past. Stella Guichard Lalor was also in attendance and made special by her family’s connection to the past.
