The movie exodus from Hollywood to our own hills seems to have begun. Close upon the heels of the advent of William Farnum and a company of notables have come several stars and a company of 36 players from Universal City.

Jack Hoxie, star of Universal western features, heads the outfit now quartered in Boulder Creek. Clifford S. Smith, former director of William S. Hart, is in charge of the unit, which will remain two weeks.

A trainload of props and 18 horses have also reached the mountain town. Boulder Creek was selected for the filming of western scenes for "Beyond The Law," a story of cowboy adventure, by reason of the natural beauty of the Santa Cruz Mountains, especially the timber features.

Charlotte Stevens, Alys Murrell, Gordon Russell and Duke Lee have the principal supporting parts. There is a contingent of the famous Hoxie cowboys with the company."
