Movie Stars Take Scenes At Big Trees

After several days spent in Santa Cruz and vicinity taking scenes for his latest movie production, House Peters and his company of movie actors left last evening for Watsonville shortly after 9 o'clock by auto to catch the late train at Watsonville junction for Los Angeles. The company spent all of Friday at the Big Trees, and with a perfect day for "shooting" both river and woodland scenes, were well satisfied with results obtained. House Peters, leading man and who directs things in general for his company, like other movie stars, was surprised at the beautiful natural scenery Santa Cruz has to offer and promises to be back soon to have more special scenes taken. The company were taken to Watsonville junction by Harry West and Harry Krapp.

The leading lady with the company is Florence Vidor, who is very popular with Santa Cruz patrons of the silent drama. Her husband, King W. Vidor, the prominent director, was also here combining business for his own company with pleasure. Other members of the company were J. O. Taylor, Frank Geraghty, Harry Schenck and John McDermott."
