W.J. Stokes, A Former Resident of City is Dead

Word was received in Santa Cruz yesterday of the death in Portland Oregon, of W.J. Stokes, a former resident of this city. He died suddenly Sunday.

Stokes was for many years a resident of Santa Cruz and when he left something over two years ago was commander of the local Grand Army post. He owned considerable property here and was well and favorably known.
