To Attend Vet's Reunions
W.H. Nellis Stanford Ave., has gone to Des Moines, Iowa to attend a reunion of the 11th Iowa Infantry and of "Crocker's brigade," composed of the 11th, 13th, 15th and 16th Iowa regiments during the Civil war, and known as the "Iowa brigade".
Mr. Nellis served four years in the 11th. After the reunion he will meet the California delegates in Chicago and go with to Washington and attend the national encampment, march down Pennsylvania Av. as he did in June, 1865, when the great parade and review occurred at the close of the war.
